It's posty mcpost time!

Why am I still awake at 130am when I got little sleep last night and worked really hard all day?! WHY... oh, the torture of my brain! I'm about to go to bed, don't worry.

So my family is coming to town tonight to help me move (tomorrow) to my new place. I'm hoping the internet gets set up there asap because I can't go without the interwebz!!! LOL. Anyway, so today is going to be a busy day - and last week was, well, a killer. I feel like I'm still trying to recover from it and that it's not happening. SHIZZY. I have so much crap to pack on Friday night - that's so not gonna rock, but I've been SOOO busy and haven't had time to do it because after I get home from school, I'm too tired to think, let alone organize boxes. Good thing is, though, that most of my stuff is still packed from 9 months ago when I moved in here. Except the kitchen. OH NO THE KITCHEN! *freaks out* I have so much stuff in the kitchen. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Sorry for the lapse in posting - I was on a roll there and had hoped it would continue... but then school jumped in and yelled, "SUCKER!", and took me away from the compy. It's been a semi-rough week. Well, the first half was. The second half is proving to be quite fun and now it's the freakin' weekend, so even more yay!

A not-so-bad day!

Today was quite an easy day! First, my CAD class had an exhibit competition (my group didn't win, but hey, whatever, I'm not bitter - mostly because I didn't care about the exhibit in the first place, haha!) which took the whole three hour class period, woo! Then I went and ate dinner with some class colleagues. Thennn, I went to my Site Analysis class and we got out one half hour later! That's 2 hours early! YAY! :o)

Okay, so Pander is a virtual panda... but he doesn't know that! And isn't he so cute?! Feed him bamboo! He is in the left-hand sidebar with the bunny and hammy. :o)

Yesterday was hectic, but I can say that the ending of it was nice... I ended up at Starbucks near campus where I got a coffee, sat and read my book for an hour, and enjoyed the night time atmosphere. OOH! And then! An hour after I got home, Cute Boy called! Weeeeee! :o) Aw, his voice makes me *swoon*.

Okay, time to read more book! Then bed! WHOOP! :o)

My brother lives in Germany.

That's totally crazy! But cool! He left in August and I miss him. It's also difficult to get a hold of him (time differences, calling cards, etc.) so I haven't been able to verbally speak to him in over a month. :o( Hopefully we'll get some kind of calling system up and running here, and by that I mean either talking through the internet/webcam or just coordinating times between countries... so that keeping in touch doesn't become few and far between. Doo, I hope you still read this.

In other news, I miss my boy. His 21st birthday (WOO!) is this December and I'm trying to plan something for us to do - I wanna escape the state for a few days if possible; or at least our home cities. I know it is months down the road, but boys, this is what girls do. :o) "Ah, I have three months to figure out what we can do, AHH!" *hee hee* At least that's how I roll.

Today (Monday) in studio we are going on a hike; this little venture takes us two hours southeast of our school for a two hour walk-and-observe-water-in-nature-hike-thing. Hopefully that doesn't suck. I spent all weekend working on an exhibit for another class that I haven't gathered supplies for the hike-thing. Sunblock! I need sunblock! Inevitably, someone will have some, but why depend on others like that? That's right - don't mooch!

I cannot believe it is going to be the fourth week of school. Already! It just cannot be possible! I feel like we: (a) just started, (b) haven't done much work, (c) are about to head face first into some impending architectural doom incident. That's right, an I.A.D.I. You could pronounc that [i-uh-die] and you'd be saying how I will eventually feel regarding school, haha. Funny how that works. ;o)

So I've mostly finished my homework that is due tomorrow... 90% to be exact, so I am feeling good about that. So much so (can I say 'so' any more than I already have?!) that I am going to go read before bed. Yes. Laters to youz I sais.

Thrice Rice Pwnage, booya! :o)

HAHAHA, I just pwned three ricers! Now, I'm not one to actually street race - that's dumb; quarter mile races are dumb; and NASCAR is super-dumb. So there I was, [not street racing, and] cruisin' down the road at 40 mph - the posted limit, crazy, right? Heh-heh-heh. Well, there was a normal car in front of me in my/the middle lane and a normal car to my rear left. Oh, and the best part... the three ricers that are out cruisin' together as a team [insert mock "go, team!" hand gestures of idiocy here] are somewhere to my right and rear-right.

So I don't street race, right? It's for suckers, right? Knowing that I had clearance to change from the middle to the left lane, I down-shifted into 2nd (from 40 mph mind you, heh-heh), the car screamed those wonderful Honda-engine-sounds, I signaled and switched to the left lane, but then I backed it off immediately so as not to appear to any might-be-lurking cops that I was racing. Almost instantly I hear the "roar" of the three ricers and see them zoom ahead using the right lane. I didn't do anything except giggle like mad - ricers are so easy to provoke! :o) That's why it's more fun [and rewarding] to just make the ricers think you want to race - that's when the giggles come [from meeeeeeee! :o)].

Double-blar.

Ha, again I was at school on a weekend day! *hiss* I spent a few hours sanding metal in an attempt to give our exhibit tables a nice finish. OY, that was a lotta effort in a lotta heat!

So now I'm sitting at home, still covered in some amount of metal powder, and trying to decide what to do with the rest of my night. I was debating on hittin' a Starbucks with my gift card and a good book, but... there was no parking nearby. No, I'm not being lazy, I'm being cautious. :oP

Anyway, so... I really wanna hang out with my Cute Boy, but he's in another town. Which kinda cheeses me - not that he lives in another town, but that my Saturday got so fugged up it means I cannot go visit him and next weekend I'll probably be too busy too. ARRRG! Well, not if I work really hard on my studio project and give myself some good free time on the weekend. Hmm.

Why do I even write here, nobody reads it anyway. :oP

I just got home from school twenty minutes ago (it's 11:19 p.m. right now), blarrrrrrrrrrr. I'll post more later... or tomorrow... or whenever.

I wanted my Friday night to have some fun, but now I'm just too tired. BAH.

I had a title.

As I was preparing for school this morning, I stood in front of the bathroom sink, leaned forward towards the medicine cabinet mirror to examine my face, and thought, "Haha, that's what I'll title my next journal entry." Naturally, and uncannily, that title now escapes me because I did not bother to write it down at the time of conception. Such is life.

So after getting ready it was off to school; currently, I walk there. When I first started walking to this school I was excited by the idea - "how great it is going to be to release some energy; the weather is wonderful!; why didn't I do this before today?" - but as the months went on I came to realize that, however much I love my town's weather, I do not enjoy having to spend twenty minutes in it right before class. It is not-so-enjoyable arriving too close to class-start and being too hot to be comfortable. Yeah-yeah, "leave earlier", you say - I do try, but it is not always so easy.

My mood changes like the weather, you see. No, I'm not claiming to be bipolar or anything of the sort... just, mood-shifty? :o) At any rate, I wonder if it has anything to do with some surveys I took at my doctor's office this summer. I swore I wasn't going to tell anybody this unless they were really close to me, but maybe it is better if I talk about it? It's nothing life-threatening, don't worry. So this summer my doctor told me he thinks I have a situational anxiety/depression going on and that it's brought on by school - how wonderful, right? Gah. Not only did it make me think, "Oh? That could explain why I've been feeling this way," but also, "Really? Nah, that can't be me..." like it was something I was denying that I had caught in the way illnesses are. How absurd, right?

Just now, I took a break from writing. "I'll let my roommate's 'puppy' (he's probably 6-8 months old) back in his kitchen area; he's been outside for a while now." You think I'm doing my roommate a favor, right? She's in the same college program as me so I can tell you that she's not here a lot either. Anyway, so I got home from class at a late hour tonight and I decided to let the dog out: to potty, to stretch his legs, to release some energy. Nice of me, right? Help her out because I live here, right? But then again when exactly did I sign up for dog duty? Turns out that letting the dog out tonight was a big mistake! That idiot dog does not know that:

• he's supposed to lift his leg while urinating (he gets pee on all four of his paws);
• drinking all of his water right away means he won't get any until many hours later (I fill the dang thing more than my roommate ever does);
• chewing the edge of the carpet at the kitchen/living room archway is bad;
• digging in the backyard is bad (he's made a mess of the side entry to the house: there are smeared mud-dog-prints all over the sort-of-new white door, he poops in random spots, the whole urinating fiasco as mentioned above makes it stink, etc.)

I mean, I understand that he's a puppy and will do puppy things, but still, it comes down to the owner having a responsibility to make sure their pet gets trained in the best way possible - especially if they share a house with someone. Seriously, I cannot walk into the kitchen because the entry has been blocked off to keep the dog in. And if I do manage to get into the kitchen, he gets puppy-excited and pees - some of which happens to get on my feet at times. How sanitary is that? Yay, a peeing puppy in the area of food! It's a good thing I'm moving by the end of the month - good luck to the new roommate that moves in here.

So the point is that the idiot dog chewed up a corner of my favorite butterfly doormat that my parents bought me last year. It started out by getting muddy by him in the past two weeks, but I had agreed that it was probably cleanable and it wasn't that big of a deal. But to have just been talking about it with C. C. (a school colleague) earlier this very day makes the chewing feel like Chewing x10. I left a note on my roomie's bedroom door whiteboard about said chewing incident, but who knows what will come of it.

[Side note: I was at Target today with C. C. and as we passed the doormat area I got all excited and told her about the butterfly rug and how "wonderful it is!" but I could not find one there to show her - I do not believe they sell it anymore... which is why this x10 situation should really maybe be turned into a x100 situation. Yes. x100 over a doormat. Because it was awesome and it was given to me by my parents. DAMN IT!]

And the dog is too stupid to even realize that me trying to punish him for said mat-chewing is not a playtime adventure! He's too puppy and non-trained and "problem child" to ever get it! I hate dumb animals. I want my dog back in exchange for this one. Seriously, I'm angry now.

The week is half over already?!

Thanks to the holiday, my week is happily half over! And that will bring the end of the third week of school - how can that be?! I guess we do have a long ways to go before the end of the semester, and I'm not really wishing for the end like I was last semester, so that should tell you that I'm pretty happy with how things are going so far. Maybe it is because I have a fun architecture class thrown in the mix of things.

We had our first review today and you can see half of my project on http://www.architektin.blogspot.com/ (the other half is in physical form - not digital, right now. After I format it to digitalness, I'll post it on Architektin.) My partner and I think it went pretty well for ours, and we know it did for a few others', but some of the presentations left my mind all but bewildered. Yeah, I listened to their intro speech. Yeah, I analyzed their physical presentation. But, I did not get what the CRAP you were trying to do with your video! AHHH! :o(

Well, I'm hungry, and this post is mostly about arch, so I'm out... I think it's time to take a book to a coffee shop and read-it-up while I drink-it-up. :o)

But it doesn't feel like a holiday...

• My parents came from [and went back to] their town yesterday. I wish I had been able to spend more time with them, but unfortunately, school intervenes with pretty much everything. *sigh*

• Cute Boy went back to his town today. :o( It was a sad departure because he was packing up his car in his parents' garage while his mom moved her truck out of the way of my car, but then she waved to me like I was supposed to be leaving or something, so I left - and didn't get to properly say bye to CB, aw. I know I saw him all weekend, but still the goodbye hugs, etc. are mandatory! *huff* It just feels weird, is all.

• I have no interest in working on my school stuff right now, but I know that I have to, but how can I be blamed if a certain copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows falls open in front of my face? Hmmm? ;o)
